We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Bursa where third ranked TurkishTofas (3-3) beat second-best Italian Trapani (3-3) 99-93 on Tuesday. Tofas forced 22 Trapani turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The best player for the winners was Mexican-American point guard Alexander Perez-Kaufmann (191-1993) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 9 rebounds, 13 assists and 5 steals. Lithuanian center Marek Blazevic (209-2001) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Five Tofas players scored in double figures. Tofas' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard JD Notae (188-1998, college: Arkansas) who recorded 27 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import Matt Hurt (206-2000, college: Duke) added 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) respectively. Tofas moved-up to second place, which they share with 8 other teams including defeated Trapani .
